Das Gerät des Automatischen Identifikationssystems (AIS) ist ein Transponder, der ein automatisches Kommunikations- und Identifikationssystem zur Verbesserung der Sicherheit der Schifffahrt gewährleistet, indem es den effizienten Betrieb des Schiffverkehrsdienstes (VTS), Schiffsmeldungen, Betriebsabläufe von Schiff zu Schiff und von Schiff zu Land unterstützt. Das Automatische Identifikationssystem (AIS) wurde zunächst in der Seeschifffahrt eingesetzt und ist seit 2010 auch in der Binnenschifffahrt auf dem Rhein in Betrieb. Es ist ein automatisches Ortungssystem an Bord von Schiffen, das Informationen über das eigene Schiff an andere Schiffe und an landseitige Einrichtungen wie die RIS-Dienste übermittelt. In umgekehrter Richtung empfängt das AIS Gerät ebenfalls Informationen von anderen Schiffen und landseitigen Einrichtungen. Die Übertragung von Informationen erfolgt über Inland AIS Geräte an Bord von Schiffen. In Inland AIS Geräten sind elektronische Sensoren integriert, wie das globales Positionierungssystem (GPS), um die Echtzeitposition des Schiffes zu erfassen sowie ein Ultrakurzwellen-Transceiver (UKW) zur Übertragung von Daten in beide Richtungen. --- # Agent Instructions This documentation is published with GitBook.
